Paint Tool SAI Pencil Brushes by BerolEagle Paint Tool SAI Pencil Brushes by BerolEagle
Here are a couple of pencil brushes that I made for Paint Tool SAI in order to mimic graphite pencil, to install them follow these instructions*:

-Extract the RAR into your Paint Tool SAI folder (install 7zip if you don't have winRAR).

-Run start-sai.exe to install the textures.

-Create a new "Brush" and manually adjust the settings like you see here, you could also use the Marker, Watercolor, Airbrush ...

I recommend using these brushes on A4 page size at 150 DPI and with stroke stabilizer at level 3 but use whatever you feel comfortable with.

Feel free to adjust the pressure to your taste, some press harder than others so you may have to adjust.

Change the Simple Circle to Flat and now you have a square tip shading pencil.

(*) Update if you're having issues with the start-sai.exe, download this pack and extract it into your main SAI directory (where the SAI program is), the brushes should show up automatically next time you run SAI), they may overwrite your brush list but I've put them at the bottom so unless you have any brushes there, it shouldn't be any problem. As an extra, I've included a set of "Airbrush Pencils" which are my favorite brushes in SAI.

I can change everything into the right settings other than the "normal" into neither "LEAD HOLDER 2MM PENCIL" or "0.5MM MECHANICAL PENCIL". is it just a name or is it something I needed to install as well? because my pencil doesn't look like the one in this picture...

It's usually because you're either working on a file with small dimensions or the textures didn't register.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR THIS TT_TT my brush texture won't work so I just downloaded you zip file... actually I don't know how to customize brushes so I was looking for a default one and just download from someone else's. Gladly I found yours, and yours was the best I have found so far... so thank you :D

Extracted the files to the folder as you said. The brushes showed up automatically for me, but the new textures still aren't available, and they're missing from your pencil brushes.

I click on your mechanical pencil, it's (simple circle), & (No Texture). Edge hardness is 11 and Min Density is 40. Rather than what's in the image.
I click on your lead holder, it's (simple circle), & (No Texture). The new textures and such aren't on the list, despite the tools showing up. Blending=12, Dilution=28. The advanced settings are 6,9,85%,100.

What do I do? I would really love to use these brushes.

Run the start-sai.exe and see if the textures show up.

Got it! The unpacking seems to not have helped. It just didn't unload and replace the files despite saying so. I opened it in 7z and dragged all the new files and config files to their respective folders from inside 7z and manually replaced them that way... didn't seem to work unzipped. But now it's all there, and my other tools are safe! Thanks man!
